People come and go all the time here, and with Christmas coming I just wanted to make sure that if you were new to So Sew Easy, that you knew all about the Fab Felt Christmas in July feature I ran earlier this year.
I started off the series with this Fab Felt Christmas Tree pattern. There is sewing and fabric involved, but its a bit more crafty too, so you can get to have fun with cardboard and glue as well as fabric and buttons. The kids can even get involved and you can make it a family project.
It even has magic musical buttons that play Christmas carols. I really like this mini size. It's just perfect for a table centerpiece or for your entry table or hallway. But mine has been designed especially for a toddler I know who loves Christmas and just couldn't leave the tree alone last year – so now he has his very own tree to decorate and nothing can get broken or damaged.

So now your tree is assembled but bare. It's time to cover it with the felt cover. You'll need brown and green, and if you want to add snow at the top, also some white felt. I also added a couple of spots of red felt to mark where my musical buttons are.
Part 2 – how to make the felt tree cover
There were lots more fab felt fun things in the series and once I get a spare 5 minutes I'll do a quick round up of those too. But get started now on your tree and we can add on some cute felt decorations later.
