Barbie has been a cultural icon since for almost 60 years since she was “born” on March 9, 1959. The doll was launched by toy company Mattel and since 1959 over a billion Barbies have been manufactured. While you can certainly buy almost any type of Barbie clothes and accessory in a store, wouldn't it be much more fun to make your own?

Thank you for making easy patterns to follow. I am sending them along with a Barbie doll to children less fortunate than myself in hopes that they may learn a trade. I include material, a sewing kit, thread, elastic, ribbon and fasteners. I hope the kids will like them.

i would like to have some dress blocks for barbie only with sewing allowances. you must be having some sort of standard sizes for making these blocks. Would much appreciate if you could email me several blocks so that I could make some dresses for my grand daughters’ barbie dolls. They want me to make some nice clothes for their barbies. Thanks
What are dress blocks? 🙂
Dress blocks are master pattern for woven and different knits fabrics. You use them to make many different designs of dresses using the flat pattern method. Most labels would have their own blocks.
