Do you see a sewing pattern, then look for suitable fabric? Or see gorgeous fabric that immediately calls up a vision of you wearing it- even if you haven’t found the pattern yet? I must admit- I tend to be fabric driven. 🙂
Great question I do a bit of both. But I always have a few drawings with me and the amount of fabric worked out so I don’t but too little.
