This handy spreadsheet has been saving sewists from running out of bias tape since 2014. It works out exactly what size square to cut for the length and width you need — and how much tape any square will give you — in inches or centimetres. It comes with a printable quick-reference table to pin up next to your sewing machine, and it works in Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice and most other spreadsheet programs.
