Mother’s Day Fabric Giveaway with Smuggler’s Daughter

mothers day fabric giveawayHi everyone, we're delighted to once again team up with the lovely Susan from Smuggler's Daughter to offer a $50 fabric giveaway in honor of Mother's Day which falls on May 8 this year.  Susan's going to give you the chance to select the fabric of your choice from her entire stock list.

About the Smuggler's Daughter

Many of you may remember Susan from the last time, but I think her story is worth re-telling.  I think it's fair to say that Susan has had an ‘interesting' life.  Like so many of us sewists, her mother taught her how to sew.  You can learn why she chose such an interesting name for her store on her About page.  From there you can continue on to check out the many terrific fabrics she has on her site.  You can see just a few of them here in this post, but this barely does it justice.  You should check out the site for yourself.

The Smuggler's Daughter specializes in top quality designer fabrics for garment sewing.  You'll find all kinds of very fine fabrics on her site that you won't commonly find elsewhere with new fabrics being offered regularly.  I like how she displays the fabrics on a dress form, so you can see the drape and the scale of the print easily and imagine how they would look in your sewing project.

I was especially impressed by the designer fabrics available at The Smuggler's Daughter.  Designer ends from Maggy London, Eileen Fisher, Prada, Theory, St John and others are the standout fabrics on the site.  These are exceptional quality fabrics that are not available in most stores.  Perhaps a topic for another post…

This is my favorite fabric from the Smugglers Daughter website:
Woodies at Old Man’s BeachProduct Number 150153
Fabric Width: 44″
Fiber Content: 100% Cotton
A colorful and nostalgic print of old “Woodie” style cars with surfboards, etc., looking ready to drive down to the beach in southern California of the 50s and 60s.  This is nice quality cotton with a crisp character and soft hand.  Great choice for a shirt – for men or women. I seam to remember that the Werts had one of these station wagons, didn’t they?
Unit Price: $14.00
Availability: In Stock:  6
What? Only 6 yards? I need all 6 yards for my projects! I hope I win that $50 before someone grabs up this great fabric!

Hi,

I must admit I am addicted.Smuggler’s Daughter has many fine fabrics. Right now I am searching for a silk fabric for a new dress and my favorite is Sixties London Silk as I love retro style. The Maya hieroglyphic is also great for a dress.

Cheers,
