NEW Singer Quantum Stylist 9985 Computerized Sewing Machine Giveaway

It's time for another giveaway! – just in time for summer.  It's been almost six months since our last giveaway where Kathy P. from Secaucus, New Jersey won the new Husqvarna Viking Jade 20 sewing machine.

And this time, have we've got something very special for you.

The Singer Quantum Stylist 9985 is considered by some to be the best sewing machine ever made (at it's price point, of course). Even being compared to some Bernina's which sell for thousands more. It's actually hard for me to say this since you know how much I love Bernina..

This machine has a crazy 960 built-in stitches and can sew at 850 stitches per minute. It is perfect for both beginners and more experienced sewists and comes from one of the most storied brands in sewing machines — Singer.

About Singer

Singer Corporation is an American manufacturer of consumer sewing machines, first established as I. M. Singer & Co. in 1851 by Isaac M. Singer with New York lawyer Edward C. Clark. Best known for its sewing machines, it was renamed Singer Manufacturing Company in 1865, then the Singer Company in 1963. It is based in La Vergne, Tennessee, near Nashville. Its first large factory for mass production was built in 1863 in Elizabeth, New Jersey.[1]

Bonjour! 🙂 It’s so hot outside (here) and that makes me automatically think of plenty summer style sewing projects with the Llama Blush fabric! A short length jumpsuit with spaghetti straps, a lovely pleated skirt, the summer walking shorts or your shared pattern of the “elastic waist linen shorts” and the “summer blouse” and the gorgeous boho style tunic mentioned in my previous comment 🙂 I’d still go for the idea of the llama shaped cushions, drawstring bags, washing cloth (combined with terry cloth fabric) and scented sachets 😀 However, there is another interesting thing I’d try out with it: a sunshade/parasol umbrella! (a handy one to carry with you or install on a desk with a clip) Many thanks and kind regards from a very small country far away 😉 (it’s just amazing how the internet and sewing establishes connections from around the world! 😀 ) May you all enjoy a beautiful, colorfully inspiring, s(e)wingin’ day! 😀

I would make a newborn gift set by using this gorgeous fabric to back a receiving blanket, burp cloths and bibs. I usually knit a coordinating cardi and hat and make a toy – in this case it would be a llama.
