There's not really much debate anymore that breastfeeding is the best way to nourish your baby. Doing so not only gives the new bub the best possible nutrition, but also passes on many of the antibodies from mum. Also, breastfeeding is a terrific way to build a bond between mother and baby.

The only problem is that not all public spaces are completely welcoming of nursing mothers as you might imagine. This is less of a problem these days than it was when I had my first baby 20 years ago, but it's still an issue.

A good way to help both mother and baby, as well as the passing public, be more comfortable with breastfeeding is to use a nursing cover to protect both baby and mum's modesty.
