After much prodding from our readers, we recently expanded our social media sites to include Instagram. I wanted to personally invite everyone to check out the So Sew Easy Instagram account and follow us over there. As you know we have active social media communities on Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and even Google+, but the recent growth and popularity of Instagram makes it hard to ignore these days.
Generally, most people think Instagram is mainly for the younger audience, and we certainly welcome them, but I also think people of all age groups are really starting to enjoy the platform and it's very visual format. If you're looking for a good way to connect with you teenager or granddaughter, you'll find young people today pretty much live on Instagram.
Instagram is actually owned by Facebook, so it integrates very well with that platform. You can use your existing Facebook account to signup and login to Instagram which makes it very easy to join. As of December 2016, Instagram is said to have 600 million users, so you definitely won't be lonely.
So what is Instagram anyway?
Instagram is a mobilephoto-sharing application and service that allows users to share pictures and videos either publicly or privately on the service, as well as through a variety of other social networking platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Flickr. –Wikipedia

A couple of things to keep in mind
While Instagram can be accessed from a normal computer browser, it is primarily meant to be a mobile application which means you'll get the best experience if you use Instagram on your iPhone, iPad or other mobile devices.
The platform is all about images and video so there is little text. You need to click on the images to follow to various posts and articles if you want to learn the details behind an image.
