Hi! Stephanie from Swoodson Says again and I'm really excited to share this round-up with you. I have a 2.5 year old son who I love to sew for – I started designing PDF patterns for toys because I wanted more options for toddlers!
Sometimes it seems like all the tutorials and patterns are for ruffle-y dresses and dolls with pigtails. Don't despair! There are lots of fun things to sew for the boys in your life – and sometimes that frilly, flowery idea just needs a change of fabric. I included two applique patterns in the list too – one of my favorite ways to make t-shirts special when sewing for boys.
Don't forget to get your boys involved, too! My son has already started “embroidering” with me when I hand sew – it's so cute.

Thank you for this. I have a 9 year old boy and didn’t know there are so much you can sew and that with free patterns!
Thanks for including my Robot Appliqué templates, Stephanie. I can vouch for the Scooter Buddy. The one I made has been very well used!
