Was it your mother who taught you how to sew? Or a grandmother? If so, they gave you a precious gift of knowledge that makes every day better and will be with you forever. Perhaps one day you'll pass on that knowledge to your own daughter or grand daughter.
The day will soon be upon us when we celebrate the special relationship we have with our mother and I think making something handmade is the perfect way to say thank you and show you care. A handmade gift takes time, thought and an investment greater than simply popping out to the shops to buy some flowers or a box of chocolates.
Show your mum/mom you care with these handmade goodies to create with fabric.
Nice article i have read your blog and you have describe with nicely and hope in future you will do post like this.
I loved your Mother’s Day projects but the one II was most interested in wouldn’t open. It was the East Cosmetic Bag. Is there a problem?
Oops Bonnie, you are right! I’m in there editing it now so if you visit again, that link should be working.
Cute, cute, cute! These will keep me busy for days! Thank you for sharing them! Pinned.
What a fabulous collection of ideas – I am with you, a handmade gift is to be treasured – it was Mothers Day here in the UK in March I made a crochet bed runner for my mam. I have bookmarked this page.
I wish I could sew but I just can’t do it! I’ve tried, I really have! I did Home Economics classes at school, I’ve had people try to teach me but I just can’t do it. Bravo to you for being so clever!

I love that laptop bag – it’s such an unusual shape.
Oh my…I’m getting excited to create. The only thing is I’m not the best sewer. I’m going to give it a go for one of these though. I love a challenge. Such a creative list. I’m so glad I found you at #wowuswednesday link party.
Oh man, I love these ideas! Some great stash busters and my mother-in-law would love them. Now I have to choose which ones to do, because I don’t have enough time for all of them. 🙂 I just posted about some mother’s day gifts to make with your kids (I’d love your feedback about them). I’m glad I found your post through the Sunday soiree link party.
Great ideas! I pinned this 🙂
Thanks for sharing so many lovely gift ideas!
Have a fabulous week!
