As you all know, I’ve built the wonderful So Sew Easy community from what started as my own personal online sewing diary, to the great resource it is today over the last several years. Thanks to you all, the site has been so successful that we now need to expand the team. I just can’t keep up with it all and want to make sure you all continue to get the best possible content and service.
I’m delighted to announce that Mayra will be joining our team. You can read more about her on the About Us page but she’s been sewing all her life and I’m really looking forward to the contribution she’ll make in bringing new designs, skills and know-how to the site.
Mayra will be taking over the administration of the Facebook group and answering your emails. She’s also going to be developing some new areas for the site like more advanced patterns, plus-sized fashion and styles for younger sewers. We welcome your comments and suggestions on other topics that might be of interest.
Mayra's sewing space
Mayra lives in Singapore. For those of you not familiar with the place, Singapore is a cosmopolitan, prosperous and super modern city in Asia. I’m hoping that this will bring a more urban appeal to some of our designs.
Please join me in giving Mayra a warm welcome and bare with us as we get up to speed.
And don't worry, she's about as crazy as I am so it's going to be a lot of fun.

When thinking about plus sizes please address bigger arms. I have to buy size 22 and the arms are still tight but the body of the garment is way too big…my last arm measurement was 22 inches. Thank you for being willing to consider plus size people this year.

Forgot to say, on the subject of ideas, my interests are around expanding my sewing knowledge and techniques, which at the moment are limited, and making something to fit me, which so far I have not been able to do and that puts me off making anything for myself. I would love to be able to make a whole wardrobe of clothes. Next year I want to do more sewing and your site is number 1 on my list of ‘go to’ sites. Best wishes, Ava x
