My daughter and I spent 13 weeks in a Domestic Violence shelter. Because of that we now make items to donate so that the women and children who arrive with nothing but the clothes they are wearing, can be given something they can call theirs. I would use this to make the women cosmetic bags on my Janome embroidery machine. When they go to court, its so essential for them to look their best, they need to have that belief in themselves in order to face their abuser. I use flannel and fleece to make softies for children so they can cling to it and love it. This colorful print would brighten so many women’s lives.
