Springtime sewing projects

springtime sewing projectsBored of grey and black?

It's May already and time to look for bright prints, flowers, and color for your springtime sewing projects. Anything to brighten your house and your life after the long and gloomy long winter. Flowers are poking through the ground and so why not celebrate with a flowery top or bag to add to your collection! I've been looking around the internet to see what everyone has been up to and I've tried to bring you the clearest and easiest to follow tutorials, packed full of color and joy for springtime sewing.

Anything for the children?

Of course! As well as felt projects and little trinkets you could sew together for Easter, there are lovely things you could sew for your little ones, such as that darling sun hat, or applique t-shirt! Maybe you are looking ahead to Easter, and thinking of an egg hunt in the backyard?! I thought those little fabric baskets were so ideal, and they make a great take-home gift for all the eggs.

And for the home?

Of course, I've found some springtime sewing projects to decorate your home.  How about that cute springtime arrival flag for your front lawn? Such a cute idea, share the joy that spring has sprung. I thought the little fabric eggs could be filled with lavender too, to add a fresh floral scent as well as just decoration!

I really hope you have fun with these little projects, there is something for everyone! Happy springtime, and happy sewing!

The flower garden pillow is adorable but I get a blank screen when I click on it. Any ideas? I’d love to see how it’s done.

The link has excess “stuff” in it. I’m not sure of the technical term. Here is the correct link….

All I did was erase everything before http in the address bar. Hope that helps. 🙂

….and checking my post, I see that clicking on MY link does the same thing, goes to a blank page with the unnecessary extra “stuff” in the address bar! Again, erase everything before http and you will get there.
