We celebrate Mother's Day every year as a way to honor the mothers in the family, motherhood, maternal bonds and the overall contribution and influence of mother's in our societies. Mother's Day is observed in over 40 countries around the world. In the US the holiday is celebrated in May although the dates vary in other countries.
In the US, Mother's Day is a relatively modern holiday with the first official celebration being held in 1908 in Grafton, West Virgina after years of campaigning by a tenacious woman named Anna Jarvis. Anna began her efforts to recognize Mother's Day in 1905 and by 1911, all US states observed the holiday.
In celebration, we put together this fun and free Mothers Day Sewing Roundup filled with interesting projects that every mother would love. Please enjoy and don't forget to share it with mum!
