Winners Announced for the $1,000 Fabric.com Giveaway!

We're delighted to announce the winners of the $1,000 Fabric.com Giveaway today.  If you recall, in order to allow more people to win, we're dividing the total prize into four winners of $250 each to spend at Fabric.com as they please.

Unlike some of the previous giveaways sponsored by Fabic.com, this one was open to readers pretty much worldwide or at least to every country where Fabric.com ships –which is a pretty extensive list.  See the list of International Shipping destinations directly on Fabric.com.

As it happens, one of the winners is actually from a small town in Norway, which I think is wonderful.  Congratulations Aase-Lill!

Overall, the geographic diversity of the entrants was truly impressive.  About half the entrants were from outside the US, which roughly correlates to our readership base.

Three of the four winners won with their entries from visiting our portfolio on Craftsy which includes a huge selection of both free and paid patterns and for projects as diverse as the popular Easy Long Cardigan free pattern to the Ultimate Wallet pattern and tutorial for only $6.25.

We loved reading the nearly 3,000 comments that the contest participants left on the blog.  The comments from the readers were, as always, terrific.  Most were very practical, some were funny, and some definitely inspiring.

We changed the fabric a couple of times during the contest to keep things interesting and all the ideas were terrific!
