--smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 600\/450;\" \/><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-18035\" src=\"https:\/\/so-sew-easy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Box-purse-frame-028b.jpg\" alt=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/so-sew-easy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Box-purse-frame-028b.jpg 600w, https:\/\/so-sew-easy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Box-purse-frame-028b-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/so-sew-easy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Box-purse-frame-028b-500x375.jpg 500w, https:\/\/so-sew-easy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Box-purse-frame-028b-150x113.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>You'll often see Gutermann's glue recommended for glue-on purse frames but it's very expensive and I couldn't get it here, so I can't advise either way on that one. \u00a0As far as I know this is the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.awin1.com\/cread.php?awinaffid=258957&awinmid=6091&clickref=box-frame-purse&p=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.etsy.com%2Flisting%2F62225421%2Fus-supplier-gutermann-creativ-glue-30g\" target=\"_blank\">only supplier<\/a>\u00a0on Etsy and you can get it on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0021B2GQ2\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0021B2GQ2&linkCode=as2&tag=soseea-20&linkId=MKKQDZPJJY2MO7DL\" target=\"_blank\">Amazon.com here<\/a> too, although its more widely <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/product\/B0021B2GQ2\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=19450&creativeASIN=B0021B2GQ2&linkCode=as2&tag=soseea0f-21&linkId=NMHR62LJN2RYJ5UW\" target=\"_blank\">available in the UK and Europe<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"color: #000000;\">To cover the box frame<\/h2>\n<p>Once you've decided on your glue, let's talk fabric. \u00a0You'll need a good quality quilting cotton, or a home decor fabric, or even a beautiful embroidered silk or satin would look stunning. \u00a0Just keep in mind that the box is dark colored, and can show through on a very light colored or very thin fabric. \u00a0It might be a good idea to test any silks and satins etc with your glue beforehand on a plastic pot like I did, just to check for any staining<\/p>\n<p>Cut yourself two pieces of fabric large enough to cover the box and have about an inch over on each of the 4 edges. \u00a0I'm starting with the lining because it I don't get it quite right or don't get nice corners, it will be inside and not so obvious.
