This is kind of the combination of two projects on my site-the <a title=\"Simple Tote Bag Pattern\" href=\"http:\/\/crazylittleprojects.com\/2013\/11\/easy-tote-bag-pattern-and-instructions.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">simple tote bag<\/a> and the <a title=\"Christmas Hand Towels\" href=\"http:\/\/crazylittleprojects.com\/2012\/12\/santa-suit-hand-towels.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Santa hand towels<\/a>. It's really easy to make!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Santa Tote Bag Tutorial:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Supplies Needed:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>About 1\/2 yard of red fabric (mine is canvas and was 60&#8243; wide. If you get 45&#8243; wide you may need a little more than 1\/2 yard.)<\/li><li>1 yard of fusible fleece<\/li><li>Wide, black ribbon (3 inches wide or so)<\/li><li>Narrow silver ribbon (about 1\/2 inch wide)<\/li><li>White fur (small amount)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the basic construction of this bag, I am going to refer you to my <a title=\"Tote Bag Pattern\" rel=\"noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/crazylittleprojects.com\/2013\/11\/easy-tote-bag-pattern-and-instructions.html\" target=\"_blank\">Simple Tote Bag Pattern<\/a>. In this tutorial, I will teach you to make it look like a Santa suit!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have your pieces cut out (following the cutting guidelines from the<a href=\"http:\/\/crazylittleprojects.com\/2013\/11\/easy-tote-bag-pattern-and-instructions.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> tote bag pattern<\/a>), cut your black ribbon the width of your main bag pieces. Pin it in place right across the middle:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/crazylittleprojects.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Thebelt.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"http:\/\/crazylittleprojects.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Thebelt.png\" alt=\"Thebelt\" class=\"wp-image-5239 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" \/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/crazylittleprojects.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Thebelt.png\" alt=\"Thebelt\" class=\"wp-image-5239\"\/><\/noscript><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Sew that along the top edge of the ribbon and the bottom. (Don't worry about the sides.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, add a strip of the white fur to the bottom of the bag. Make it about 3-4 inches wide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/crazylittleprojects.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Addingthefur.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"http:\/\/crazylittleprojects.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Addingthefur.png\" alt=\"Addingthefur\" class=\"wp-image-5240 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" \/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/crazylittleprojects.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Addingthefur.png\" alt=\"Addingthefur\" class=\"wp-image-5240\"\/><\/noscript><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Pin that and sew it in place as well, along the top and the bottom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, cut 4 pieces of the silver ribbon.
