Oh deary deary me. (In my best British accent.) Just what happened here then Miss? \u00a0The sewing police had better not be reading this or I'll be prosecuted for sure. \u00a0Thrown in sewing and fabric jail for such an epic failure.<\/p>\n<p>The charges:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Woeful waste of fabric<\/li>\n<li>Wasting precious sewing time without due care for the consequences<\/li>\n<li>Failure to stop when I could tell it wasn't &#8216;right'<\/li>\n<li>Sewing without due care and attention<\/li>\n<li>Failure to properly execute a muslin<\/li>\n<li>Sewing while intoxicated? \u00a0I got cleared on this charge, which is almost a shame because I could have used it as an excuse.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-8661 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/so-sew-easy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Statue-of-David-137x300.jpg\" alt=\"Statue-of-David\" width=\"137\" height=\"300\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/so-sew-easy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Statue-of-David-137x300.jpg 137w, https:\/\/so-sew-easy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Statue-of-David-298x650.jpg 298w, https:\/\/so-sew-easy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Statue-of-David-69x150.jpg 69w, https:\/\/so-sew-easy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Statue-of-David.jpg 502w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 137px) 100vw, 137px\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 137px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 137\/300;\" \/><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-8661\" src=\"https:\/\/so-sew-easy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Statue-of-David-137x300.jpg\" alt=\"Statue-of-David\" width=\"137\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/so-sew-easy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Statue-of-David-137x300.jpg 137w, https:\/\/so-sew-easy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Statue-of-David-298x650.jpg 298w, https:\/\/so-sew-easy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Statue-of-David-69x150.jpg 69w, https:\/\/so-sew-easy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Statue-of-David.jpg 502w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 137px) 100vw, 137px\" \/><\/noscript>Inspiration had struck while I was asleep. \u00a0It often does. \u00a0In this dream, it was just an ordinary day at the grocery store, but I was carrying the bag of my dreams! \u00a0I can see it now. \u00a0A simple open tote, sleek, neutral, uncluttered, with a central pleat revealing a splash of the accent color down the center of the bag. \u00a0Just perfect for popping out to the shops to get a few things.<\/p>\n<p>Then I was suddenly arriving home to find my husband was in the bathroom and had shaved off all of his body hair and had painted his private parts lime green. \u00a0I'm not kidding &#8211; this is really what woke me up with a start! \u00a0But even then, I couldn't forget the bag.<\/p>\n<p>I started soon after breakfast. \u00a0Measured out a few dimensions for how big I wanted the bag to be, made a few rough notes and I was excitedly cutting out a few minutes later! \u00a0Who makes a bag muslin &#8211; right? \u00a0So I had this linen I had been saving for a bag and I cut, interfaced, pinned, stitched. \u00a0Hmm, right from the get go it wasn't looking exactly like my dream bag. \u00a0In fact the more I continued, the less it looked like my dream bag. \u00a0It actually looked more like my husband's private parts, smaller than I imagined and a bit mis-shapen. (Only kidding dear. Have I gone too far &#8211; sorry, the bag fail has put me in a funny mood.)<\/p>\n<p>So here we have it, the World's Ugliest Bag. \u00a0I can see where I went wrong. \u00a0EVERY WHERE! \u00a0What was I thinking?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8776 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/so-sew-easy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Ugly-bag.jpg\" alt=\"World's ugliest bag!
