If you'd like to know a bit more about what fantastic things you can door with the Juki DDL-8700H, please have a look at this video where the machine is practically torture tested and shown sewing thin dress pant material all the way up to 14 layers of heavy-duty vinyl without even skipping a stitch.  Amazing!

There are so many things I’d like to make with this. A dress, a jacket, a skirt, a top, and no doubt by the time I’d made one of those I’d have thought of many others too.

Well, with only 1 yard to work with, I would make a fun beach picnic cloth …serging the complete edges and then t would thread on some washable wood rings followed by tying knots at the corners to hold those rings in place, for a wee bit of weight. Easy breezy and very funky looking…also a great colour to hide any unfortunate food stains.
