So Sew Easy (so-sew-easy.com) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect automatically
Like most websites, our servers and analytics tools record standard technical data: IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, the referring site, and date and time. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. This data is not used to personally identify you. Our site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes visitor IP addresses to provide security and performance services.
Information you give us
If you subscribe to our newsletter, leave a comment, use a contact form, or download a pattern, we collect what you choose to share, usually your name and email address. Newsletter subscriptions use double opt-in: you must confirm your address before receiving anything. Our newsletter system is self-hosted on our own server in the European Union; your subscription data is not shared with third-party marketing platforms. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
Comments are checked for spam using Akismet, which processes the information submitted with your comment for that purpose.
Payments
If you choose to leave a voluntary payment or tip for a pattern, payment is processed by PayPal or Ko-fi. We do not receive or store your card or bank details; we receive only your name, email address and the amount, for record keeping. PayPal and Ko-fi process your data under their own privacy policies.
Advertising and cookies
We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads, which may be based on your visits to this and other websites. In the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland, ads are only personalized with your consent, which is collected through Google’s consent message when you first visit. You can change your ad personalization settings at any time at adssettings.google.com, and learn how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can also opt out of personalized advertising from many providers at aboutads.info. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
Embedded content
Some posts embed content from other services, such as YouTube videos or Pinterest buttons. Embedded content behaves as if you visited that service directly, and those services may collect data about you under their own policies.
How long we keep data
Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics standard retention settings. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Comments and their metadata remain on the site indefinitely unless you ask us to remove them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, reach us through our contact page. If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
This site is a general audience site and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
We update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
Please remove me from your mailing list…I receive too many to keep up!
Hi Theresa, you’re not currently on any of our mailing lists.
If you’re referring to push messages that would appear in the upper right corner of the screen if you opted into them in the past and would like to opt out now, just follow these instructions depending on your browser:
https://support.pushcrew.com/support/solutions/articles/9000064230-a-website-is-sending-me-push-notifications-how-do-i-unsubscribe-
Unfortunately, it isn’t something we control on this end. Much like a radio station, we’re just broadcasting a message to users who have chosen to receive it. We actually don’t know who has or has not opted in, so we’re not able to block specific individuals.
Kind regards, Mayra
Received my first pattern free, for a batwing sweater. Looks great and simple. One question: I assume I have to use a grid paper to make pattern to size. Do yo have a diagram of the pattern with measurements fit the straight sides. I have not sewn for a few years and am trying to get back into it . Thank you
Sylvia
I have yet to find the unsubscribe button on any e-mail. I want to unsubscribe now! How?????
Hi Sandra,
You’re not actually on any of our email lists at the moment. You were on the mailing list of seiwng4free.com but I have removed you from that. In any case, each and every email we send have a one-click unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email. It is a requirement from the mailing company.
If you’re referring to push messages that would appear in the upper right corner of the screen if you opted into them in the past and would like to opt out now, just follow these instructions depending on your browser:

Hope that helps and kind regards, Mayra
I am also having trouble getting out of this subscription help please
Hi Anne, please just follow the same link in the instructions to Sandra. Unfortunately, it’s not something we control on this end. Let me know if you have any problems and happy sewing!
I’ve been using a Janome Memory Craft for embroidery and it is both fascinating and wonderful for an oldie like me who has only done straight stitch. Best wishes for a wonderful Merry Christmas to all.
