Round up – Things to sew for boys

Things To Sew For Boys. All free pattern and tutorials for things boys would love from toys to clothes.

Hi! Stephanie from Swoodson Says again and I’m really excited to share this round-up with you. I have a 2.5 year old son who I love to sew for – I started designing PDF patterns for toys because I wanted more options for toddlers!

Sometimes it seems like all the tutorials and patterns are for ruffle-y dresses and dolls with pigtails. Don’t despair! There are lots of fun things to sew for the boys in your life – and sometimes that frilly, flowery idea just needs a change of fabric. I included two applique patterns in the list too – one of my favorite ways to make t-shirts special when sewing for boys.

Don’t forget to get your boys involved, too! My son has already started “embroidering” with me when I hand sew – it’s so cute.

Thank you for this. I have a 9 year old boy and didn’t know there are so much you can sew and that with free patterns!

  2. Thanks for including my Robot Appliqué templates, Stephanie. I can vouch for the Scooter Buddy. The one I made has been very well used!

What do you think?
