$500 Fabric.com Giveaway Winner Announced!

We're delighted to announce the winner of the $500 Fabric.com Shopping Spree Giveaway today.

If you recall, unlike the previous giveaways sponsored by Fabic.com, this one was open to readers pretty much worldwide or at least to every country where Fabric.com ships –which is a pretty extensive list.

The geographic diversity of the entrants was truly impressive.  When I was going through the data, I discovered that about half the entrants were from outside the US, which roughly correlates to our readership base.

We had entrants from places I honestly didn't know were considered countries (at least by our giveaway software) like the Åland Islands and covering almost every country through to Zimbabwe.  Unfortunately, the readers from Zimbabwe would not have been able to win due to Fabric.com's shipping requirements, but it was nice to see the entries and to know we had readers there.  Had the reader from Åland Islands won, she would have been eligible since the islands are administered by Finland and would qualify for Fabric.com shipping.

We loved reading the nearly 3,000 comments that the contest participants left on the blog.  The comments from the readers were, as always, terrific.  Most were very practical, some were funny, and some definitely inspiring.

Unlike prior contests and based on customer feedback, we changed the fabric a couple of times to keep things interesting.

The winner of the contest is Yvette L. from Ft. Washington, Maryland.  Yvette's winning entry was entry 23,664 in the competition and came from her visiting the new So Sew Easy presence on Instagram.

As with most of our recent contests, the number of participants was amazing and we thank everyone for their involvement.
