It's often agreed that a lady can never have too many shoes or too many bags. What I can't get enough of are the small wristlet bags – I use them for everything, have a whole range of them now in solids, prints, and neutrals.
Perfect to pick up and run out the door with your essentials, when you don't need to be carrying the kitchen sink around with you this evening in your big purse 😉 Ideal too for your first bag if you are fairly new to sewing, or for running up for gifts or to sell. It's a classic style that isn't going out of fashion, so keep up with fashion by using on-trend fabrics and you'll always have the perfect bag on hand.

I love this tutorial.
So cute! I can’t wait to make one!! Thank you for the very informative video
The pattern does not show up in Craftsy as Free. Please advise. Thank you.
Hi Patti, it was only free for the limited time of the special giveaway we were doing. Please make sure to join the mailing list as we do these sorts of giveaways from time to time. The readers on our email list are always the first to know. Kind regards, Mayra
I have made several of your patterns. This is the first one that I made minor changes to. I added two additional pockets on the other side in the bag for lipstick and a handkerchief. Additionally, I did not stitch up the middle of the bottom credit card holder so I could put cash in it. I have just picked up sewing again and have never been successful with zippers. Your video had the most detailed instructions and it turned out perfectly! I am going on a trip to Punta Cana and wanted to make a quillow for the plane ride (blanket that folds in to itself and makes a pillow). Then I decided it would be nice to have a wristlet that I could put essentials in so I didn’t need to carry my purse with me. I knew you would have one!
The wristlet fits inside the quillow. This wristlet holds driver’s license, credit cards, passport, lip pencil, lip stick, chapstick, handkerchiefs, small perfume and phone. It’s amazing! I wish I could share more pics!
Thanks, and Happy Birthday to your son!
Thank you so much! Happy birthday to your son!
Fantastic idea! This is perfect for our little guys who want things but don’t want to look too girly (Star Wars fabrics, etc. and shorten the strap is a perfect adaptation)
Thank you so much!
Thanks for the freebie! I hope you enjoy your son’s birthday. Sons of moms who sew are the luckiest sons in the world, right?
Thank you!
Thanks so much! This is so cute! Happy happy bday to your boy! 🙂
I think that your explanation of how to sew zipper in the right direction so it lays smoothly is the best I have seen yet. Your entire video was excellent.
Where do I find the erase pen that was used in this tutorial?
In any bookstore, they are called Frixion pen.
Thanks so much!
Wonderful. You make this pattern so easy to follow with your clear and detailed video and step by step directions. Thank you so much! I will be checking back regularly, since I know as a beginner, I will be able to complete so many of your projects.
I too can NOT find where to print this pattern! Help is appreciated.
thank you.
I purchased this pattern about a year ago and made it and LOVED IT!! Fabulous tutorial and it came out great!! I carefully have the pattern pieces that I made put away safely in a large ziploc bag and labelled. Learned a lot from making this adorable wristlet! I hope there are MORE VIDEOS coming out soon.
Thank you and Happy Birthday to Mark.
beautiful wreslet
I’m disappointed. Where’s the pattern shown in the video? I received the tutorial and directions but there’s no pattern to use to cut the material. Am I missing something here?
Hi, Marc, the pattern has the cutting instructions, it is composed of many rectangles without any curves that are easily drawn straight onto the fabric.
I dislike measuring straight onto fabric so I usually make templates from paper using the measurements provided and then use those as my pattern pieces. Hope that helps.
