I just started up again sewing after 30 yrs, I graduated in custom clothing construction 84′ and the only thing I have custom is the amount of wasted fabric lol. even my sheets got makeovers. Now with a new sewing machine new grandbaby girl 4 yrs of retraining myself basic skills and breast cancer free. I am really ready to start making my new blouses w/o boobs. This really would be a dream come true. Please help me get started

I hope all of you had a really nice Thanksgiving. This is the first one without my Mom. It was a little difficult to get through but it still was good. We felt that she was there with us anyway. I took my mother’s muumuu dresses she wore and made small stuffed hearts for everyone in the family as a reminder of her. They loved them. When I can upload a picture, I will to show you.
Thank you for the free patterns and the chance to win more fabric. My husband does not know that all people that sew have lots of fabric around for inspiration. He thinks that if you have a piece of fabric you should just make something.

My first time without my children home alone all day,
So sorry for your loss, it is hard at this time of year, missing our loved ones who have passed. I think the stuffed heart pillows is a wonderful idea to give to family members. I took my father’s work jeans, holes, stains and all and made pillows for my two sisters, so they could always have my dad next to them on the couch watching TV!
