Patricia has been writing to me recently about the Summer Drape Top. She was keen to make it for her Daughter in Law who is expecting a baby, as part of her maternity wardrobe. We decided to keep the top and armholes the same, and angle out the bottom a little to give some ‘room for expansion'. And this is the pretty result – her daughter in law looks delighted with her new top and I think I would be too.
As we've been chatting all about sewing, I've also been learning about Patricia's interesting history – she was born in the cupboard under the stairs in Liverpool during an air-raid, one of 12 children!
