This was a bit of a surprise, but a good one. Our old friends at Craftsy, now Bluprint, are offering over 1,300 of their online classes absolutely free for the next two weeks. Use the link below to get these savings.
If you don't have a Bluprint account yet, I think you'll have to create one but they won't ask for a credit card and you won't have to cancel anything at the end of the two weeks, so there's absolutely nothing to lose.
If you're one of the few readers not familiar with Craftsy or Bluprint, now is absolutely the best time to check it out completely for FREE.
During the 14 day event, Bluprint will provide free access to their full slate of content; including more than 1300 classes and series and hundreds of step by step project tutorials and patterns making this the perfect time to learn a new craft or hobby.
Here are just a couple of good reasons to take advantage of this FREE offer.
- Creativity is one of the best ways to connect with ourselves and loved ones
- Creating family moments of togetherness by communing over creativity
- Keeping the kids busy while you work from home
- Getting lost in your passion and making something
- Sourcing inspiration for your next (or first!) craft project

It’s wonderful that they are allowing this but sadly, the PDF patterns and worksheets that go with the class are unavailable. Good to learn a new technique but if you want to practice it you will have to find a pattern elsewhere.
I was about to say the same thing!!! You can’t download anything…sometimes they have the measures only in the pdf and you don’t have access to that…it’s a shame…
Has anyone been able to download class materials? I’ve watched 2 classes so far, with no charges for the class itself, but have not been able to download the materials (charts and related info, not patterns that would need to be mailed).
Thanks!
I received the following reply from Bluprint regarding class materials:
“The free watch event includes all of our video content only. You won’t be able to pull up the materials and patterns within the class under the free watch event.”
so what’s the point, right?!
watched a pizza making class. It stopped just as it got to the informative part. Nothing is free really. They just want to temp you into buying a class, so its a thumbs down from me.
This is terrible! Did you try another class?
I started watching a class when I first got your email on Friday and it was great! Went back in today to watch again and try the techniques and it is soooooo slow! Must be a lot of people taking advantage of the free offer. I also was unable to download class materials. I sent an email to bluprint about the class materials, but have not received an answer from them yet.
While I am learning some new things, and I appreciate the opportunity to try the classes for free, I wouldn’t sign up to watch the one or two classes I am interested in.
Bluprint IS asking for a Credit Card to access the classes “for free” You DO have to give them your Credit Card and you must make sure to CANCEL Before your “free 2 weeks are up or you WILL be CHARGED! I tried to get the classes for free multiple time with this offer and it is NOT True.
Hi, that’s not my experience. I always see a blue-green bar at the top of the screen saying “EVERY CLASS FREE ’til 4/9 – Watch Now”. If I just use that link to get back to the free stuff if I’ve browsed around a bit, the class videos are always free. Classes with materials like patterns that get mailed out, are not free at this time. Don’t provide a ccard in any case.
I was able to watch classes without any problems. I signed up with my e-mail & the only thing they asked from me was a password to create my account. Try again & pay better attention to what you’re actually clicking on. If you click on the wrong button you’ll be taken to the screen to pay for a sub.
one cannot access the patterns, only video . Very disappointed.
It seems that, while the instructions are free to view, one cannot access the patterns. Very disappointed.
what about the dedicated users of Craftsy/Bluprint who pay for our membership? Do we get two weeks added to our annual membership for free??
I think this is misleading, as I, too, clicked on a class and it was charging me for it. So I went to another class and I could watch the video, but that was it; no pattern, no instructions; no list of materials. So I am very disappointed. 🙁
The first thing I looked at was not free. I tried to get in through the GET STARTED button and it wouldn’t let me do anything without signing up. Waste of time
Hi Anna, all the video classes are free now until April 9. The classes that have physical items mailed out like printed patterns and materials, are not free at this time. If you’ve browsed around a bit, just go back to the blue-green bar at the top of the screen on the Bluprint site saying “EVERY CLASS FREE ’til 4/9 – Watch Now”. The class videos are always free.
are the craftsy classes we bought still available to us???
I’m sure they are. Nothing has changed with your existing patterns or subscriptions. They’re just trying to let new people try the service and so are making it free for these two weeks.
So I guess not ALL classes are free. just some. I tried CLASS + PATTERN
Sew the Perfect Fit
with Lynda Maynard
(95) and it wasnt avail to watch.
I found the same thing. Is this bait and switch?

Hi, no, I don’t think they will mail you the accompanying pattern for free. This is just a free trial to get people to watch their class videos. Merchandize, like patterns, is still paid.
This doesnt seem to work. It still puts the price of the class in the cart and wants you to fill in your card #. Is there a coupon code? or what am I missing?

I shared your link on my FaceBook! 🙂
Thanks, Angela. Very much appreciated.
