Wow! It’s hard to believe a whole year has gone by so quickly. I really wanted to thank all our readers and supporters who have followed and contributed to So Sew Easy over the year and wish you all the happiest of holidays from our family to yours.
As many of our readers know, I live in Singapore which is pretty much on the equator. It’s always hot and usually very humid. I made the Christmas picture very “winter”-themed just to remind us of the cold and snow many parts of the world experience this time of year.
Singapore is a modern and a very commercial city. Much of Christmas is dedicated to shopping. I’ve included a couple of pictures of Singapore during Christmas below so you can get the idea of what it’s like here. Thankfully, we’ve done all the shopping we’re going to do so I can avoid the last-minute crowds and the rush this Christmas Eve.
In any case, this year, I’ve made most of my Christmas gifts already from many of the projects we’ve shared with you over the last several months such as the small fur tote (don’t tell my daughter…), the Stella coin purse, and the men’s pajamas for the two men in my life (husband and son of course..).
We also wanted to wish Maureen and her family in San Diego a happy holiday. As I’m sure most of you know, Maureen was the winner of the our Huge Janome Sewing Machine Giveaway that just concluded a couple days ago. The shipping company tells me the new Janome was delivered on the 23rd, so hopefully you’ve already had a chance to fire it up and take it for a sew. Please do let us know how you go!
For those that missed out, we have some other great giveaways starting early in the new year so please stay tuned.
Last, but certainly not least, I also wanted to reach out and wish a special Merry Christmas to our friend and collaborator Deby who is currently recovering from a recent operation. We wish her a speedy recovery and festive holiday wishes to her and her husband Nigel.
