Do you like camisoles?
Well, I do. I received a lot of requests a few weeks back for a camisole pattern. We didn't have one on the site at the time and it seemed like something we should have. So I started my research to make a new pattern.
What I often do is to take a look around and see what designs others have done to see if there is something I can improve or innovate on. It turns out that there really aren't that many camisole sewing patterns out there.
In any case, I've collected a list of the best ones I could find and as I often do, I figure I might as well share them with you.
I did do my own pattern for So Sew Easy, which I linked below which was very popular when we published it a couple of weeks ago.
Here's my camisole sewing pattern
After all the research, this was the pattern I designed. I hope you like it.
Camisole Sewing Patterns Roundup
Here's a list of some of the best camisole sewing patterns I could find on the internet. I'm sure you'll love them. Hover over the picture to show the title, click to open, or right-click and open in a new tab to keep this page open too. And don’t forget to pin it.
Thanks so much for this! Camis are one of my favourite things so I love finding new designs. This is going to be so insanely useful for me. Thanks for all your hard work!
Thank you for designing a camisole! I went to download the pattern, but apparently I have to pay$29.00 for something called “winzip” ?? Can you suggest another way for me to gain access to the pattern? Thank you.
Hi Dana, in this article, we’re just providing links to other designers’ patterns but I would not pay for anything to open or view any sewing file. If the pattern is zipped, most Apple computers will open it with built-in software already. Not sure about Windows but I assume so too. Winzip should have a free version as well so please try that.
Both Apple and Windows have built-in Unzipping.
Hello
I want to make a lightweight cotton voile cami to wear under see through clothes. The only ones I can find are in Australia and New Zealand and don’t ship to US. Do you have a pattern you recommend? I am willing to make adjustments.
Thanks
Tyra
Ad’s keep getting in the way.
Nope, if you have so many adds it is because of your browser, your cookies and browsing history. You need to clan your cache and that would take care of the ads that block your screen. I do have adds all by google who tailor your add according to your browsing history. If I didn’t I could not share a free blog for you that takes 5 figures in cost for me to run. Hope that helps.
You could also use Brave browser, instead of chrome, firefox or any “popular” browsers. Brave automatically blocks ads and trackers! It’s Free!
Thank you so much. Appreciate all your hard work.
It is my pleasure Maxine, if I did not have this website I would be working for some company doing the same, I much rather work on my pj’s and being able to read comments like yours, much more rewarding… so thank you for taking the time to be here.
How would I go about increasing the size of the cammy at a 22? thanks
Patricia, I use a t-shirt dress for a long cami, or a purchased cami or t-Shirt I have here. I put it on, right side out, and take tucks here and there to fit the piece of clothing to my size & shape and pin to hold. Now VERY carefully, Take it off, turn it inside out and viola, you have a size ____ (fill in the blank) pattern for you camisole
