Hi everyone, we're delighted to once again team up with the lovely Susan from Smuggler's Daughter to offer a $50 fabric giveaway in honor of Mother's Day which falls on May 8 this year. Susan's going to give you the chance to select the fabric of your choice from her entire stock list.
About the Smuggler's Daughter
Many of you may remember Susan from the last time, but I think her story is worth re-telling. I think it's fair to say that Susan has had an ‘interesting' life. Like so many of us sewists, her mother taught her how to sew. You can learn why she chose such an interesting name for her store on her About page. From there you can continue on to check out the many terrific fabrics she has on her site. You can see just a few of them here in this post, but this barely does it justice. You should check out the site for yourself.
The Smuggler's Daughter specializes in top quality designer fabrics for garment sewing. You'll find all kinds of very fine fabrics on her site that you won't commonly find elsewhere with new fabrics being offered regularly. I like how she displays the fabrics on a dress form, so you can see the drape and the scale of the print easily and imagine how they would look in your sewing project.
I was especially impressed by the designer fabrics available at The Smuggler's Daughter. Designer ends from Maggy London, Eileen Fisher, Prada, Theory, St John and others are the standout fabrics on the site. These are exceptional quality fabrics that are not available in most stores. Perhaps a topic for another post…
She features the finest in:
- Knits
- Designer fabrics
- Eco-friendly fabrics
- Silk
- Cotton and Linen
- Home decor fabrics
and LOTS more.
Do check out the Blog too, for some interesting sewing articles and pattern reviews.
The prize
Up for grabs is a chance to win $50 to spend on fabric of your choice in the Smuggler's Daughter online store. The store sends fabric internationally too, so this great giveaway is open to everyone.
Complete the entry form below for your chance to win.
Closing date is the end of the day (my time) on 8th May (Mother's Day).

So many great selections! My favorites at the moment are Tribal Line Dance cotton/spandex knit for an artsy tunic length top & J-Crew blue with white dots cotton voile for a breezy summer top.
It’s so hard to find quality fabrics locally. This site is great! It’s hard to chose just one, but the cottons are especially attractive.
All your linen and cottons appeal to me!
