Hasn't the summer break been great this year? For me, I had a great couple of weeks staycation here on Cayman and enjoyed some fabulous scuba diving. At the time of writing, we've not had any hurricanes (fingers crossed) and we've still got plenty of summer weather to look forward to yet. Here's a look at what I like to do when I'm not sewing.
But for some, summer is almost over, and the kids will be soon back to school. Does that mean you get more sewing time? Here are a few back to school sewing ideas to try. As one sewist put it, it's not just a home-sewn backpack, they're carrying my love with them.

I get soooo confused sometimes when trying to use your site. Please help. For instances I would like the Cat bag pattern–but no matter what part of the page I click on I don’t see it. What am I doing wrong?
Hi June, sorry to hear that. I think the designer has removed that pattern. I’m seeing if we can update. Please check back in the near future.
i’m glad you are enjoying your time on Cayman. I used to be there every week during one of my jobs. Two of my favorite places there were Smith’s Cove and the botanical gardens.
That scuba diving looks so scary to me! Do you have lights in order to see so clearly down there?
No lights needed Robin, its beautifully clear and sunny. Obviously the deeper you go, the less light and the more blue everything becomes, but I prefer the shallow sunny dives with lots of color and fish.
