bernette sewing machines

Even the most casual readers of this site will probably know that I'm a great fan of Bernina sewing machines.  I own a few of them including the mighty Bernina B880 Plus which is my workhorse and in my humble opinion the best sewing machine in the world.

We've written a bit about Bernina over the years including the article For Fans of Bernina Sewing Machines (me…)

For Fans of Bernina Sewing Machines

A few years ago I was lucky enough to have a personalized guided tour of the Bernina sewing machine factory in Steckborn, Switzerland which you can read about below.

My Bernina Sewing Machine Factory Tour In Switzerland

More recently, I was fortunate enough to meet the owners of the Bernina company on one of their visits to Singapore.

I say all this to try to set the scene about how excited I am that our sponsors have agreed to giveaway a set of a Bernina Bernette B38 as well as a matching B44 Funlock Overlocker.  We're going to give away the B38 first followed by the B44 in a subsequent drawing.

Let's have a look at the Bernette B38

I think this would make some really cute valences to go over my windows in my sewing room with a matching sewing machine cover and ironing board cover-wouldn’t that be neat to have all of it coordinating? Maybe even a cushion for my chair that I sit in to sew. Then all the little scraps could go into some small zip pouches for my sewing notions and sewing machine feet to keep it all together! Oooh, I’m liking this idea a lot! LOL!
