NEW Brother 1034DX Serger Giveaway!

It's time for another giveaway!  It's been a couple of months since our last giveaway where Vivian O. from Beaver Falls, PA won the new Juki DDL-8700H industrial sewing machine.  Many people are still seriously restricted in their movements due to the pandemic (my city has been pretty much locked down since March), so we thought our readers would enjoy some excitement.  If there's a bright side to any of this, many, many people seem to have rediscovered the joys of sewing, which is fantastic.  This machine will make a great addition to your sewing machine collection whether you're an advanced sewist or just starting out.

The Brother 1034DX we're giving away is a terrific machine.  It has been a favorite of many of our readers for years.  It's got a metal frame so it's very durable.  Not like those plastic machines that are so common now.  It can serge with 3 or 4 threads and is strong enough to serge several layers of denim or other thick fabrics.  And it's fast, capable of sewing 1,300 stitches per minute so you can get more done in less time.

You may ask what is the difference between the 1034D and the slightly newer model 1034DX that we are giving away.  Well, the answer is, not really a lot.  The 1034D and 1034DX are effectively the same machines. The only difference is the 1034D has a bulb lighting and the 1034DX has LED lighting.

About Brother

Brother was established in Japan in 1954 and today makes a wide variety of sewing machines, printers, gearmotors, and other industrial equipment.  Today, they have 17,000 employees with facilities in more than 30 countries and distribution to over 100 countries worldwide.

Here's a little secret info just for our readers.  When I was lucky enough to visit the Bernina factory in Switzerland a couple of summers ago now, they let us see some of their cutting edge research and development.  While there are a lot of sewing machine brands in the world, the only ones Bernina really study are from Brother.  That should tell you something about these machines.

We're delighted to have this opportunity to give away one of their most popular sergers.

Let's have a look at the Brother 1034D Serger

Tried to do a Pinterest entry, but only got a black PNG screen at this address: https://api.pinterest.com/oauth/?client_id=4800724810208391718&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fgleam.io%2Fauth%2Fpinterest%2Fcallback&response_type=code&scope=read_public&state=af92d6f44ccd085aedb9e8f9317bb4c3f0ef422c8e72eb9a
So, unable to enter that way.
The link to see the fabric was also a black screen until I deleted the first part of the web address and went straight to the https://www.fabric.com/buy/0454281/ address. I’m using Firefox — could that be the problem?
