Do you have pillows or cushions in need of covering?
I realized the other day that I have a LOT of pillows and cushions around the house that are definitely in need of work. Many are worn out, faded, stained or otherwise. I thought about recovering all these pillows and while it seems like a simple task to size, cut and sew the material, the process is complicated enough to benefit from a pattern and some instructions.
So I decided to create a collection of the best pillowcase patterns and pillow cover designs that I could find. I have a lot of different pillows to deal with so I wanted a huge selection with many options and styles. As always, I want to share this collection with you in case you have the same requirement.
Pillowcase patterns are a great first project
Pillowcases are great first projects for young sewists. In fact, when I was trying to get my own teenage daughter into sewing, the trusty pillowcase was there I started. You can read about this and watch the video she made about the whole process HERE.

I really love your ideas–so many of them will have me looking at things that I wasn’t looking for but stumble upon so many variations ,then time flies and my imagination soars. Thank you and keep it up.

Some lovely ideas, thanks x
What I’m looking for, if you have any suggestions, is a tutorial for making a v-shaped pillowcase for my support pillow. I can’t find the cases anywhere (and can’t afford them in the one place I did find!), so thought I’d make my own using some of the lovely material I have in my stash. But I can’t find a pattern anywhere, especially not one that’s simple and without lots of complicated buttons, zips etc on it! Any ideas?
